This is the compression bit you have been looking for!
Compression bits have flutes ground into them in 2 different directions along their cut length. The bottom .144″ of this bit is an upcut – pulling the bottom veneer of your plywood upward toward the core while the top section of the flutes are oriented as a downcut – pulling the top veneers of your plywood downward. The tool design reduces or downright eliminates veneer chipping on plywood or melamine.
If you’re cutting plywood on a nested router – you’ll need a bit that performs. This is a workhorse – lots of happy customers.
